__The aim of this wiki__: To build a list of methods and advice on how network models of development projects can be developed by participatory means (i.e. not by a sole researcher)
This wiki page is an offshoot of the Network Models of Development Projects: An Introduction webpage, produced by Rick Davies.

Topic headings under which contents need to be developed are...
1. Participatory development and use of diagrams
1.1 Using simple circles
- to map connections between actors (their bonding capital), and outwards to unique others (their bridging capital)
Project a circle on a White Board" with an overhead / LCD projector. Drawn nodes, representing the participating actors, around the circumference of the circle, equally spaced.
1.2. The use of Venn diagrams
- to enable people to describe linkages between groups with overlapping memberships
2. Participatory development and use of matrices
2.1. Using matrices in workshop settings
- to collectively identify cell values in one and two mode matrices
- to identify, and then use weightings, for actors and or events shown in matrices
3. Participatory simulations
- Here the idea, as outlined by Mauro, for application in the classroom teaching of science
See also What is a participatory simulation? Students engaged in participatory simulations act out the roles of individual system elements and then see how the behavior of the system as a whole can emerge from these individual behaviors. The emergent behavior of the system and its relation to individual participant actions and strategies can then become the object of collective discussion and analysis.
